West Beach- 8kW Hybrid Full solar installation

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The client requirements were as follows:

• .The client was spending R3000-R4000 on electricity a month.
• We took a modular approach we came with 12x585w panels which produces 20kwh.
• We brought down the clients utility bill by 50%
• Battery capacity 2x5kwh with a total of 10kwh for night consumption.
•  Based on data from the app the client has a short fall of 10 kwh per day the plan will be to add 1 more battery and 4 more panels in the future to compensate for the short fall and reach the goal of 0% utility bill..
• We set up the solar panels in a North East and North West position for best early/ afternoon sunlight consumption.

SITE ANALYSIS

This was a straightforward installation with enough roof/garage space. Our expert team had no issue installing this system.

SOLUTION

We quoted the client on an 48V Sunsynk inverter hybrid 8kW , 2x Lithium batteries, JA solar 12x585w panels. We also quoted the client on a dedicated circuit for the pool pump.

TIMELINE AND MILESTONES

• The inverter and batteries plus the plugs took 1 day.
• The panels and earthing took another day and a half including the circuit for the pool pump.
• Overall, the full install took 3 days.

CONCLUSION

The clients consumption will drop to 80% and will be able to add a pool heat pump with the power that was saved.
